ACHS

Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) – ACHS is based in Australia and owns the EQuIP accreditation programme that we run in New Zealand.  They have lots of resources on their website that may be of interest to you.

Care-Metric –  Care-Metric supports health care organisations to increase the safety and quality of the care they provide to their clients through the provision of a clinical indicator programme.  Care Metric also provides consultancy services.


HealthCert

HealthCERT – HealthCERT is the division of the Ministry of Health that issues the certificates for hospitals, rest homes, residential disability care facilities and fertility providers.  They are responsible for ensuring that these health services provide safe and reasonable levels of service for consumers, as required under the Health and Disability Service (Safety) Act 2001.

Health, Quality and Safety Commission – the Health, Quality and Safety Commission works with clinicians, providers and consumers to improve health and disability support services.

ISQua

ISQua – International Society for Quality in Healthcare – ISQua seeks to inspire and drive improvement in the quality and safety of healthcare worldwide through education and knowledge sharing, external evaluation, supporting health systems and connecting people through global networks. The DAA Group is an ISQua accredited organisation.


NZACA

New Zealand Aged Care Association – NZACA is a national membership organisation which represents all parts of the aged-care residential sector, including long and short term residential services.


Home and Community Health

Home & Community Health Association – established in 1993, the HCHA represents providers of home and community health services in New Zealand.


New Zealand Disability Support Network – the New Zealand Disability Support Network is an association of disability support service providers.


Institute for Healthcare Improvement the Institute for Healthcare Improvement is based in the US but is recognised internationally for its commitment to improvement in healthcare.  It has heaps of really good resources available on their website.


Retirement Villages Association (RVA)- RVA is a voluntary, nationally-based membership association representing operators, developers and managers of retirement villages throughout New Zealand.


Royal New Zealand College of Urgent Care – the Royal New Zealand College of Urgent Care trains doctors in Urgent Care, an independent branch of medicine recognised by the Medical Council of New Zealand. They own the standards for Accident and Urgent Care standards and the associated certification scheme. Urgentcareultrasound  – Dr Kelvin Ward, an Urgent Care Physician in Wellington, has created this website to demonstrate the use of Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) in urgent and primary care. The site contains ultrasound footage of patient cases that have presented to a community urgent care clinic and illustrate the utility of ultrasound in this setting.
